Horn Book Review
The elegant oversized volume interprets three of Poe's tales--'The Cask of Amontillado', 'The Black Cat', and 'The Fall of the House of Usher'--with exquisitely sinister illustrations dominated by black, tan, and splashes of red. Pale images inserted between text blocks and the tall, narrow trim size give the feel of reading stories etched onto gravestones, but the spindly typeface is very difficult to read.
