Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

Have you ever been so scared that your heart races? Do creepy, crawly spiders and being alone in the dark make you tremble? The little rabbit knows how it feels to be scared and just what to do to feel better. Read along, and you too might find that what scares you isn't so scary after all.

Booklist Review

Children know what it's like to be afraid, but they may have no idea how to handle the feeling. In Scared0 , a bunny boy is so frightened that his heart feels like it's beating out of his chest. Lots of things scare him: spiders, bullies, the dark. The book reassures children that scary feelings are natural and can sometimes help them steer clear of danger. Called a "touch-and-feel" book, this title features slightly raised images that add dimension to the darling illustrations. A few questions to "think about" enhance the book's already considerable usefulness. Other titles in the series address happiness, anger, and sadness. --Ilene Cooper Copyright 2006 Booklist

Horn Book Review

These square-shaped books depict a young bunny experiencing different emotions. The narratives are overtly therapeutic and end with coping strategies and guided questions to further discussion. Some of the images in the illustrations, such as the bunny's heart bursting out of his chest when scared, are exaggerated. Embossed paper adds an unnecessary tactile quality.
