Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
A new enlarged edition of a picture book classic! The hour was late and Mr Bear was tired. But he could not sleep - however he tried and wherever he tried. SNORE, SNORE went Mrs Bear. TICK-TOCK, TICK-TOCK went the clock. Would he never get to sleep? The familiar noises, repetition and beautiful illustrations make this delightful picture book an all-time favourite with children and adults everywhere.

Kirkus Book Review
How Mr. Bear, whose wife's snores drive him from bed (""Oh NO! I can't stand THIS""), traipses from Baby Bear's room (""Oh NO! I can't stand THIS,"" says Mr. Bear to Baby Bear's airplane imitations) to the living room, where the clock ticks (""Oh NO! I can't stand THIS""), to the kitchen, where the faucet drips (""Oh NO! I can't stand THIS""), to the garden, where animals toot and mew (""Oh NO! I can't stand THIS""). . . then back to bed where Mrs. Bear has stopped snoring. But the story goes nowhere at all, and that without a spark in the telling or a hint of rhythm or bounce in the repetition.
