Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
When Tim discovers a man badly hurt on a beach, his sun-kissed relaxing holiday in the Seychelles takes on a more dangerous twist. He and Grk are the only ones, it seems, who want to know what happened. They find themselves speeding towards a well-guarded private island, and single-handedly foiling a dastardly plot threatening the local endangered giant tortoises.

Booklist Review
The fourth Grk title finds 12-year-old Tim vacationing with his parents, his friends Max and Natascha, and his dog Grk in the tropical Seychelles. On the beach, Tim discovers a dying man, whose final words help them send boy and dog on an island investigation that leads to an underground science lab, where inhumane experiments on animals and humans are carried out. The descriptive prose, told in alternating narrative, includes a few graphic references to violence, but the everykid protagonist, droll humor, and suspenseful adventure will capture both series fans and newcomers.--Rosenfeld, Shelle Copyright 2009 BooklistHorn Book Review
On vacation in the Seychelles, Tim nearly gets himself killed while trying to fulfill a dying man's wishes. With his dog Grk, Tim investigates an evil scientist's island and discovers sinister secrets in the man's laboratory. Full of gory details and environmental warnings, this confusing adventure story has some entertaining moments. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
