This time the creator of Dear Zoo employs a strategy not unfamiliar to readers: a glimpse of an animalleg, neck, trunkshows up on one page and then in its entirety on the next. He also incorporates a minor biology lesson when the animal identifies itself: ``I can see a curly tail! I wonder who that belongs to? `It's mine!' says the monkey; `I hang from branches with it.' '' One spread toward the end shows a pop-up of a lion roaring.
