Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

Katie Brenner has the perfect life: a flat in London, a glamorous job, and a super-cool Instagram feed.

OK, so the truth is that she rents a tiny room with no space for a wardrobe, has a hideous commute to a lowly admin job, and the life she shares on Instagram isn't really hers.

But one day her dreams are bound to come true, aren't they?

Until her not-so-perfect life comes crashing down when her mega-successful boss Demeter gives her the sack. All Katie's hopes are shattered. She has to move home to Somerset, where she helps her dad with his new glamping business.

Then Demeter and her family book in for a holiday, and Katie sees her chance. But should she get revenge on the woman who ruined her dreams - or try to get her job back? Does Demeter - the woman who has everything - actually have such an idyllic life herself? Maybe they have more in common than it seems.

And what's wrong with not-so-perfect, anyway?

Library Journal Review

Katie had always fantasized about leaving her small town for a more glamorous life in London, but after landing a job in her dream city and reinventing herself as Cat, she quickly discovers that a fast-paced urban lifestyle is harder than it looks. While Katie struggles, her boss Demeter, by comparison, seems to have it all. Things take a turn for the worse when Demeter fires Katie, and she is forced to move back home. She uses her design and marketing skills to create a trendy "glamping" business on her family's farm, and although she still longs for London, she begins to realize the beauty of the life she once took for granted. When Demeter shows up to the farm in Somerset for a family vacation, Katie's old and new lives collide. Narrator Fiona Hardingham adds humor contrasting posh London accents with the country tones of the Somerset residents. Kinsella excels at creating characters that are flawed yet funny, and Katie is no exception. VERDICT While Katie is much more grounded than Shopaholic's Becky Bloomwood, fans will still find humor in her journey to self-discovery.
