Horn Book Review
Boastful Lion thinks his golden crown is the most precious thing in the world in a story that meanders into the sentimental. Lion's self-important opinion seems confirmed when other animals try and fail to bring him something they consider more valuable. It is only when Lioness gives birth to a cub does Lion understand what is truly precious. Lion and his crown have a golden gleam in pictures that are colorful if a bit static.
