Excerpt provided by Syndetics

Once upon a time there was a frog called Mr. Jeremy Fisher; he lived in a little damp house amongst the buttercups at the edge of a pond. The water was all slippy-sloppy in the larder and in the back passage. Excerpted from The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher by Beatrix Potter All rights reserved by the original copyright owners. Booklist Review

Ages 5-9. What a treat for the child who checks out either of these packages! Jack Nicholson's rendition of Kipling's tale of the very unman~nerly rhinoceros is delightfully droll and accompanied by a combination of music and voice effects that places the listener, too, by the side of the Red Sea. In The Tale of Mr. Jeremy Fisher, Meryl Streep's soft accent and remarkable changes of voice combine with perfect pacing and musical background to relate this familiar tale to new audiences. The pleasing illustrations in the accompanying minibooks extend and enhance the most enjoyable readings. ~--Vicki Sherouse
