Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:
This series captures the excitement and thrill of sports and activities whose appeal lies in speed and a hint of danger -- guaranteed to give participant a rush of adrenalin. Illustrated with spectacular photography throughout, each book is packed with information about the activity, breaking it into sections which look at why take part, where it take places, the equipment needed, competitions, etc. The books are principally aspirational, so focus on the background to the sport rather than 'how do it' but the books do include ideas on how you get started and make any safety concerns absolutely clear.

School Library Journal Review
Gr 4-6-The books in these two series are organized by similar sections. "The People" covers personalities and the backstory of the activity; "The Moves" delineates specific tricks; and "The Talk" covers the vocabulary particular to the dance style or sport. Interviews with prominent stars heighten the books' appeal. Dramatic photographs decorate each page as vivid text boxes and circles impart basic information. Readers are introduced to a multiethnic cast of both genders. The titles in the dance subset are distinctive and will be popular due to recent television programs. Free Running and Street Soccer also stand out as sure hits. Select as interest dictates. (c) Copyright 2011. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. Free running, also known as parkour, is a combination of speed running, gymnastics, and, in some cases, sheer fearlessness. Lovers of the sport launch themselves over walls, clear fences in a single bound, and somersault down stairwells. This entry in Lerner's On the Radar: Sports series captures the adrenaline-fueled energy of runners, using bold graphics, bright colors, and short interviews to showcase professionals, demonstrate moves, and trace the origins of free running. The eye-catching layout has a few oddities, including placement of the glossary, found in the center of the book, whereas the index an. get more inf. list are located on the final page. Mason and Eason do include the opinions of parkour's opposers, who fear injury and property damage. The text is perhaps a tad lax reporting the real dangers of, say, scaling a city wall. However, sections with step-by-step instructions for certain tricks are title. Don't try this at home. and encourage interested youngsters to find a coach.--Jones, Courtne.
